This Pharmacy continues to uphold the great tradition and endeavours to bring the benefits of Ayurveda to common man by conducting research in the field of Ayurveda and blending the traditional values of this age old science with modern methods of production and standardization.
Recent times have witnessed resurgence of medicinal plant industry in India and there is revised interest in subjects like Dravyguna. Introduction of courses related to Ayurvedic Pharmaceutical Sciences is proof of changing scenario as far traditional medical sciences are concerned. One side of the story is that synthetic medicine might have overshadowed the traditional systems of medicine, more specifically known as Complementary and Alternative Medicine . Other side of the story is encouraging as far as herbal drug industry as medicinal plants are being constantly explored for lifesaving and cost-effective drugs.The Institute has well equipped pharmacy with good manufacturing practical standard as per norms.We have equipped with modern laboratory for testing the prepared medicine. Machineries like Tablets machine, Hot Air Oven, End runners, Pulverize, Disintegrator, and other accessories are available in teaching pharmacy.
Facilities of Teaching Pharmacy –
- Teaching pharmacy is fulfilled with instruments which are useful to perform Practical’s.
- Raw material storage is isolated from main heating platform.
- Well designed & equipped museum of Maharasa,Uparasa, Sadharana rasa and samples of different dosage form.
- Final products are stored in air tight containers.
- Pharmacy provides Guidance to Post graduate students to make their dissertation products successfully.
- Drug testing laboratory provides various tests of final product as their standardisation protocol.
